This nice percussion lock was made by Thompson Center, for their Hawken rifle, or Renegade rifle. The photo is reprentative! This used lock is in perfect working order, very good condition.
Right hand, the lock plate and hammer are factory engraved, and color case hardened. Notice the early style hammer, with straight-up finger spur. The nose cup of this early style hammer requires the longer nipple. Later T/C locks have a hammer with a curled finger spur, and they require the new short nipple.
This lock has a powerful coil mainspring, fly detent for use with double set triggers, and it is tapped for an 8-32 lock bolt, sold separately.
